Stillnest ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Stillnest mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account Information — Email address, display name, and profile avatar when you create an account.
  • Authentication Credentials — If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive a limited profile (name, email, profile photo URL) from the identity provider. We do not receive or store your third-party password.
  • Goals and Preferences — Daily meditation goals, notification preferences, and theme settings you configure within the App.
  • Support Requests — Any information you voluntarily provide when contacting our support team.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data — Session duration, meditation minutes, streak counts, daily activity records, and feature interactions.
  • Device Information — Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and push notification tokens.
  • Log Data — IP address, access times, app version, and crash/error reports.

Information We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not collect precise geolocation data.
  • We do not record audio from meditation or breathing sessions.
  • We do not access your contacts, camera, microphone, or files outside the App.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the App.
  • Sync your meditation data (streaks, progress, goals, settings) across your devices.
  • Send push notifications you have opted into (session reminders, streak alerts).
  • Process subscriptions and manage billing through our payment provider.
  • Respond to support inquiries.
  • Monitor usage patterns in aggregate to improve content and features.
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and abuse.

Data Storage and Security

  • Your account and sync data are stored on secure servers. Data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.2+.
  • Local data (cached content, preferences) is stored on your device using encrypted local storage.
  • We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, your data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.

  • Deletion — You may delete your account from the App settings. This permanently removes all associated data from our servers within 30 days.
  • Push Notifications — You may disable notifications at any time through your device settings or within the App.
  • Withdraw Consent — Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing.

For EU/EEA/UK Residents (GDPR)

You additionally have the right to:

  • Data portability (receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format).
  • Restrict or object to processing.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Our legal basis for processing is: performance of a contract (providing the service), legitimate interests (improving the App), and consent (push notifications, analytics).

You have the right to:

  • Request deletion of your personal information.
  • Opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information).
  • Non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

Children's Privacy
